Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to determine risk levels.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and internal risk assessment tools.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for the underwriting committee.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends that may affect credit quality.
- Collaborate with sales and lending teams to provide expert credit advice and approval recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state banking regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or risk management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CAM) is a plus.
