Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and collateral to evaluate borrower risk and capacity.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive credit memos, including financial projections and risk assessments.
- Review and interpret complex financial data to make informed underwriting recommendations.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of credit deterioration.
- Update and maintain internal credit risk models and databases to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the loan approval process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial banking.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of credit scoring models and underwriting guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to regulatory compliance.
