Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and credit applications to determine the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan committees and senior management review.
- Monitor existing credit accounts to identify early signs of financial deterioration and proactively manage risk.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Utilize financial modeling and Excel to project future performance and analyze key financial ratios.
- Communicate complex financial concepts to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting the lending environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, PivotTables) and financial modeling software.
- Deep understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
