Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a robust compliance framework to ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC, HIPAA).
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in business operations.
- Monitor legislative updates and regulatory changes, advising leadership on necessary policy adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations, ensuring all disciplinary actions are fair and legally sound.
- Prepare and present detailed compliance reports to the Board of Directors and regulatory bodies.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with legal and operational teams to integrate compliance measures into daily workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or Juris Doctor preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or internal auditing.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state compliance laws applicable to the financial or healthcare sector.
- Professional certification such as CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) or CFE is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them practically.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
