Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise management on necessary adjustments to business practices.
- Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports to government agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Train employees on compliance policies, procedures, and legal requirements to foster a culture of integrity.
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and external auditors to ensure complete transparency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance, auditing, or regulatory affairs role.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC, or industry-specific standards).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training and reporting purposes.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Certification (e.g., CFE, CRCM) is a plus.
