Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular internal audits to identify risks, assess control effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with legal and management teams to develop and implement compliance programs and training.
- Investigate potential violations of policy or law and recommend disciplinary action when necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and industry standards specific to the border region.
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders regarding compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk management, or a related regulatory role.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs compliance is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
