Responsibilities
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities.
- Monitor changes in local, state, and federal regulations to ensure the organization remains fully compliant.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and standard operating procedures.
- Investigate potential violations or irregularities and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare and present detailed compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff to foster a culture of compliance and ethics.
- Coordinate with external auditors and legal counsel to address regulatory inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance, risk management, or internal audit role.
- Strong working knowledge of financial regulations, including SOX, SEC, and CCPA.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using compliance management software (e.g., NAVEX, LogicGate).
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Oakland, CA.
