Responsibilities
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal compliance standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Monitor changes in regulatory laws and industry standards to ensure the organization remains compliant.
- Prepare detailed and accurate compliance reports for management and external regulatory bodies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance protocols, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
- Investigate potential policy violations and recommend corrective actions to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with legal and operations teams to resolve compliance issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs.
- Strong working knowledge of California state regulations and federal compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within flexible hours.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for training and reporting purposes.
- Professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CRCM) is a plus.
