Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance program that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in our operations and reporting.
- Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes (e.g., FINRA, SEC, state banking laws) and advise senior leadership on necessary policy adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations and internal incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports to governing bodies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide regular training and guidance to staff on compliance policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with Legal and Operations teams to ensure business initiatives are compliant with all governing frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA/JD) is a plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or internal auditing within the financial services or healthcare sector.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including BSA/AML, OFAC, and consumer protection laws.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CRCM, CFE, CPA) are highly desirable.
