What You'll Do:
As a Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company's reputation. You will act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and ensure that all business practices align with legal standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Regulations: Stay abreast of changes in industry laws and regulations to ensure company compliance and update policies accordingly.
- Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and areas for improvement.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Investigation: Investigate internal complaints and potential violations to ensure fair and ethical treatment of employees and stakeholders.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required by law.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory affairs role.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant industry regulations (e.g., SEC, FINRA, or state-specific laws).
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulatory frameworks.
- Certification: CAMS, CFE, or other relevant compliance certifications are highly preferred.
