Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs aligned with federal/state regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR, CCPA)
- Conduct risk assessments and internal audits to identify compliance gaps
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Train staff on regulatory requirements and ethical standards
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams on policy updates
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations promptly
- Stay current on evolving regulations and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of compliance/regulatory experience in finance or tech
- Strong knowledge of CA/NY state and federal regulations
- Certifications (e.g., CCEP, CCRM) highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in compliance software (e.g., Compliance.ai, MetricStream)
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
- Remote work experience with strong self-discipline
