Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including adjusting entries and accruals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements for management review.
- Process and verify payroll transactions with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Collaborate with external accountants and tax professionals during year-end audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and spot discrepancies with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interaction.
