Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial records match bank statements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the processing of payroll data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Invoice Processing: Generate and send invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized digital and physical files of financial documents and tax records.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; strong Excel skills are required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial staff.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
