Job Summary
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play a critical role in the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation filings.
- Ensure all financial data is entered accurately into QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Perform regular audits of financial records to identify discrepancies.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions required).
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet monthly and quarterly deadlines under pressure.
