Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Assist clients with tax preparation and financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or CPA firm setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
