Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including daily accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare comprehensive financial statements for review.
- Process weekly payroll and ensure all tax filings (state and federal) are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile credit card statements and review expense reports for compliance.
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax packages for external audits.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their account status and financial inquiries.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant (2+ years minimum experience).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with exceptional analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
