Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records using QuickBooks
- Process accounts payable/receivable with weekly reconciliation cycles
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses
- Manage payroll processing and tax filings
- Assist with annual audits and compliance documentation
- Implement cost-saving measures across financial operations
- Train staff on financial software best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Expertise in QuickBooks and MS Excel
- Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP/QuickBooks Payroll)
- Familiarity with GAAP and DC tax regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
