Responsibilities
- Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and month-end reports.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll data and ensure all tax filings are completed correctly.
- Perform periodic audits of financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
