The Role:
You will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of our clients with precision and integrity. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that bank statements match company ledgers and identify any discrepancies promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, providing insights to management.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the processing of payroll, ensuring all timesheets are accurate and taxes are calculated correctly.
- Invoice Processing: Generate, send, and track invoices for clients and vendors, following up on outstanding payments.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping practices comply with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience is required.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
