Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank transactions weekly
- Generate monthly financial statements and variance reports
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and improve accounting systems and controls
- Liaise with auditors and tax authorities as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks/Xero
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Florida tax regulations
- Advanced Excel proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Proven ability to meet weekly deadlines under pressure
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, CPB) a plus
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
