Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and monthly reconciliations for 15+ client accounts
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for select clients
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and nonprofit accounting standards
- Assist with annual audits and grant reporting requirements
- Implement QuickBooks enhancements and process improvements
- Collaborate with senior accountants on tax preparation and forecasting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel
- Experience with nonprofit or government accounting (FAR/DFARS a plus)
- Strong understanding of month-end close procedures
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Professional written communication skills
