Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Cycles: Oversee the month-end closing process and ensure all financial reports are completed accurately on the weekend.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are paid on time and revenue is recorded correctly.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly or bi-weekly payroll for the upcoming pay period.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized, up-to-date financial records and filing systems for easy retrieval during audits.
- Reporting: Prepare basic financial statements and assist in tax preparation filings as required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions preferred).
- Education: Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high standards of accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently during the weekend shift with minimal supervision.
