Job Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end close procedures. You will work closely with accountants and clients to ensure financial compliance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and issue client invoices in a timely manner.
- Payroll Management: Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare trial balances, income statements, and balance sheets for client review.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and ensure all transactions are classified correctly.
- Compliance: Stay updated on changing accounting standards and tax laws to ensure full compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional certification (CPA, CMA, or Bookkeeping) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage 50.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines effectively.
