Apex Financial Solutions is a fast-growing accounting firm in Colorado Springs seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team. We pride ourselves on our culture of mentorship and growth. While prior bookkeeping experience is a plus, it is not required for this role. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn the ins and outs of financial management.

Responsibilities
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and issue client invoices in a timely manner.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Payroll Support: Assist the finance team with payroll processing, including time tracking verification and expense reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial statements and reports for management review.
- Data Entry: Ensure all financial data is accurately entered into our accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero) with a high degree of precision.
- Compliance: Help maintain filing systems and ensure compliance with internal financial policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior bookkeeping experience required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas). Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) is a plus but not required.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, professional, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
