Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to identify discrepancies and maintain financial integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and General Ledger summaries.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring all tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Software Management: Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero; ensure data entry is consistent and up-to-date.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist with year-end audits and tax preparations by providing organized documentation and supporting schedules.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor company expenses, categorize receipts, and enforce budget controls where applicable.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of error-free financial data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism: Familiarity with GAAP principles and local tax regulations.
