Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for multiple clients with high attention to detail.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and month-end close procedures.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory documents as required.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
