Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during year-end reviews.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging and implement strategies to reduce bad debt.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for department heads.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) to maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- CPA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software platforms.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
