Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are recorded accurately and paid on time.
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax form preparation (1099s, W-2s).
- Reconcile inventory accounts and assist with annual audits.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing inquiries and financial status.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience is mandatory.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Xero accounting software is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be local to the New Orleans area or willing to commute.
