Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial reports.
- Reconcile discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Support the accounting team with payroll processing and financial analysis.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
