Responsibilities
- Manage Day-to-Day Financial Operations: Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved and financial records match.
- Bookkeeping Management: Maintain the general ledger, update financial records, and prepare monthly financial statements for our clients.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in processing payroll for staff, ensuring tax filings and deductions are handled accurately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on cash flow, expenses, and profitability to assist management in decision-making.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their financial queries and statements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage 50cloud; advanced Excel skills are required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
