Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations, including credit card statements and petty cash.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, trial balances, and financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll data and ensure compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations.
- Organize and file financial documents, ensuring all records are easily accessible for audits and reviews.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) to streamline accounting processes and generate reports.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks or Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Working knowledge of Xero or NetSuite is a plus.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
