Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, prepare payments, and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the company's financial records match the bank statements.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets.
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Update and maintain the general ledger system, including journal entries and account classifications.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and relevant financial laws.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or Xero accounting software is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interaction.
