About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to streamline processes and provide accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
