Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in accordance with US GAAP.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, reconcile statements, and manage cash flow efficiently to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end closing process by gathering necessary data and ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Compliance: Stay current with tax regulations and ensure all bookkeeping practices remain compliant with federal and state laws.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). Experience with Xero or Sage is a plus.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy and the ability to detect errors in financial data.
