Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly and daily bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Process Transactions: Process invoices, payroll entries, and expense reports efficiently using accounting software.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations; prepare for annual audits.
- Vendor & Client Relations: Communicate with vendors and clients regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; or equivalent professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero is required; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling large volumes of financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
