You will serve as the backbone of our accounting department, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations while providing insightful financial reporting to management.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly with high accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and monthly financial statements.
- Assist with payroll processing, including wage calculations and tax filings.
- Process invoices and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure strict adherence to GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
