Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, trial balances, and monthly financial statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure strict adherence to federal and state tax regulations.
- Support the annual tax preparation process by organizing and auditing financial documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial reporting processes and workflows.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent relevant experience).
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax preparation basics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
