Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including issuing invoices and processing payments.
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with monthly payroll processing and support for year-end tax preparation.
- Review and organize financial documents to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (minimum 2-3 years required).
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills a plus).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
