Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor account balances to identify discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices and client billing.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Assist with year-end audit preparations and tax filings.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero is required; experience with Sage or NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is essential.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and vendors professionally.
