Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax document preparation.
- Organize and file financial documentation and invoices.
- Assist the senior accountant with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
