Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and general ledger accounts.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments to vendors, and track accounts receivable to ensure timely collection.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and manage cash flow statements with precision.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal and state regulations and prepare for audits.
- Expense Management: Review and approve expense reports to maintain budget control.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Certification: NACPB, CPA, or relevant bookkeeping certification is a strong plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
