Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and examine financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to GAAP standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to the management team.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts with precision.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
