Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll and ensure all tax filings are completed on time.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Assist with monthly financial close processes and variance analysis.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance (1099, W-2).
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites (Long Beach area).
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
