As a Bookkeeper at Apex, you will be the backbone of our clients' financial health, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. We value precision and offer a modern, supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Financial Operations: Process daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to identify discrepancies and maintain financial integrity.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on schedule.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor invoices, track payments, and send out invoices to clients with a focus on cash flow optimization.
- Compliance & Tax Prep: Assist with quarterly and annual tax preparations and ensure compliance with Nevada state tax regulations.
- Software Management: Utilize cloud-based accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) to manage client data efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups) are required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and rectify them quickly.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Reliability: Must be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
