Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and resolve outstanding balances
- Collaborate with clinical and finance teams to optimize billing workflows
- Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR and billing systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding conventions
- Proficient in medical billing software (Epic, Meditech, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts in a fast-paced environment
