Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy using Epic and Medisoft systems
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through direct communication with payers
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and aging reports monthly
- Assist with patient billing inquiries via phone and email
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture completeness
- Generate monthly billing performance reports for leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar billing software
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage high-volume deadlines in a fast-paced environment
