Responsibilities
- Process and manage high-volume billing cycles, including invoicing and collections.
- Review and submit insurance claims (CMS-1500) to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Reconcile monthly statements and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
- Communicate with patients and insurance carriers regarding unpaid balances and account status.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records of all billing transactions and documentation.
- Generate and analyze financial reports to identify trends and improve revenue cycle performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or dental billing/receivables.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) and billing platforms (e.g., Practice Fusion).
- Strong working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and insurance coding (ICD-10, CPT).
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
