Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient account reconciliation
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits prior to service delivery
- Generate monthly revenue reports and aging analysis
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document chargeable services
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with billing regulations
- Train staff on updated billing procedures and coding standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare compliance requirements
- Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting
