Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account inquiries within 24 hours
- Conduct regular audits of charge entries and payment postings
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure proper CPT/ICD-10 coding
- Generate monthly financial reports for department leadership
- Optimize revenue cycle processes through data-driven analysis
- Train staff on new billing systems and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Expertise in Epic EMR and NextGen billing systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential required
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
