- Manage insurance claim submissions and follow-ups for optimal reimbursement
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account inquiries within 24 hours
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all financial transactions
- Analyze aging reports to prioritize collections and minimize bad debt
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding accuracy (ICD-10/CPT)
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial forecasting
- Train staff on billing system updates and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience in healthcare settings
- Expertise in insurance verification and EOB analysis
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for patient and insurer interactions
